It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to Cornerstone CE Aided Primary School which opened in September 2013.
Cornerstone is a new, friendly and caring school, designed to serve the local community of Whiteley. We are proud to be a voluntary aided school in the Diocese of Portsmouth and have strong links with Whiteley’s church community.
We believe every child deserves excellent teaching and a rich, purposeful and engaging curriculum which provides opportunities for them to grow confidently as well rounded people. We trust that the time your child spends with us will be happy, stimulating and rewarding and that you and your child will enjoy being a part of our school community.
Through opportunities to learn creatively and to embrace challenges both independently and collaboratively, our children are encouraged to think deeply about their learning. Staff work hard as a team, reviewing progress and exploring new strategies to capture the energy and enthusiasm of young learners, in order to inspire them to develop a love of learning that will last a lifetime. This is all crucial to our desire to grow an Exceptional Learning Community at Cornerstone.
Importantly we offer children a safe, secure and caring environment in which to develop. Our school offers children a wide variety of learning opportunities both inside the building and outside.
Our aim is for all children to lead happy, healthy lives, with the skills to learn to adapt to an ever-changing world and in so doing, to fulfil their aspirations and ambition.
We are extremely proud of our school and if you haven’t visited us already, please come and see the school in action. We would be delighted to share our community with you.
If there is anything further you wish to know, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We look forward to meeting you.
